Reviews from some of our guests.....
I love the tranquility of this cottage I love the peace I love the quaintness ...
I love the grounds with all the history it holds and the long walk along the very green driveway with the sheep and horses along the way and the shortcut into Milford town .
And the wonderful owner Joyce who is always so helpful.

Tranquil, serene, stunning surroundings staying in thenewforest then surroundedby lucious trees! myself and 15 year old son and partner loved where we stayed, so cosy my son wants to move there so do i near there even. Recommend anyone to visit as you could not find such a friendly and accommodating person and down to earth, my only complaint being she's too nice and you don't want to leave! Will definitely be coming back, already reserved for next year.
What a charming place, Shirley and I spent a lovely weekend recently, needing a much needed break 'from it all'. Compact and well equipped, it was a cosy little sanctuary; loving the log fire and the view of the bird garden.
If you are looking for a break in the New Forest, by the sea or both we cannot commend the Stables more. Joyce could not enough to make us welcome during our three night stay.
So good, we are already thinking about when we may visit again.
Don & Lorraine:
A lovely cottage and secluded birdwatchers' garden, and with little touches that make it a real home from home. We have visited The Stables once or twice a year for about 10 years: just us two, sometimes with other family. The cottage is always clean and bright, the garden delightful to sit in, and in wet or wintry weather the log fire is really cosy. It's a great base for easily visiting the coast or inland Hampshire, Isle of Wight, or Dorset. And you get the kindest "host" you could wish for!
